It's all kind of a blur...

I ain't gon' lie. I'm a sucky blogger, I warned all of you. I feel like I should blog but when it comes down to it, I'd rather sleep. Or lay in front of a fan in our un-air-conditioned apartment in my bathing suit after my 4th shower for the day.

So here's the deal, I don't remember what I did when, for a couple of weeks in the middle there anyways. I shall just post in a clump for this one. Here 'tis.

The day before I got to the office, I guess a cabinet that was hung on the wall fell and broke. So Harry had me look for a new set and then sent Jen and I to Ikea in Brooklyn for it. We took a ferry and ate lunch in their cafeteria and set up a delivery for our shelves. Just so you know, delivery in New York City is ridigulous. The shelves cost $60 and the delivery was $70.

This is a really great showroom that Kim, Madison, and I went to on their last day in New York.

These next couple of pictures are from our night-time walks around the reservoir in Central Park. At night there is a great breeze and it's really a beautiful view. If I EVER live in New York City, I want to live near Central Park. It's the coolest part of the city.

This is Samson kickin' it in the D&D with me.

I don't know if anyone really cares about what I ate for lunch...but this sandwich is delicious! We order from Lenny's, a sandwich place nearby pretty often. This sandwich is the Autumn Special, I'm not making this up. It's roasted turkey, brie, arugula, and cranberry sauce. Yum.

These pictures are from another night-time walk near our house. The top is the Met and the lower is the Guggenheim, both museums. The Guggenheim was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.

This is the blue whale at the Natural History Museum. It's in the middle of an enormous two-story room, surrounded by all types of sea creatures. It's really cool.

Me and Megan were gettin' pretty jazzed up to see Harry Potter. We bought tickets a month in advance.

The Cloisters!!!

Here's a little blurb on what it is:

Located on four acres overlooking the Hudson River in northern Manhattan's Fort Tryon Park, the building incorporates elements from five medieval French cloisters—quadrangles enclosed by a roofed or vaulted passageway, or arcade—and from other monastic sites in southern France.

It's really amazing, it's basically a huge castle with these pieces from French history built in to it. These pictures are just from my phone so I hope you can still see how great this place is:

Limes! This courtyard reminded me of being in California.

After we went to the Cloisters, we took a train to Williamsburg, a neighborhood in Brooklyn. We went to Buffalo Exchange, an amazing consignment shop. I got my sweet nerdy glasses I've been sporting lately.

Also, we went to Vinnie's in Brooklyn. It came highly recommended and holy crap, it was good. Mac&Cheese pizza! So good!

Our view from Williamsburg towards Manhattan at sunset.

That was kind of a quick look in pictures of our extra-curricular activities. It pretty much brings us up to the week that Will came to visit! I'll post on that soon...
